Title: Soundtrack Help
Post by: WyrmMaster on Oct 08, 2005, 12:35 AM
As mentioned previously, we are working on a soundtrack album for Inherit the Earth. Well, we can now announce that the original composer, Matt Nathan, will be arranging the music for the album. We hope to have it available to order by the late November.

Matt has a question for those that played the DOS version of the game using a Roland MT-32 or LAPC-1. Did you change the reverb or tuning of the synthesizer because it sounded better or did you just let the music play unadjusted?

It's an esoteric question, but Matt wants to music to sound the way most people actually heard it on their Roland. You can answer the question here or send an e-mail to us at techsupport@wyrmkeep.com.

(Note: The current version of the game does use a digital audio score recorded from a Roland MT-32, but it's not exactly the same score as played by the DOS version.)

Personaly, I haven't played the DOS version, but I really love the Amiga version. I've just played the playable demo (cause it was only German), but the few musics I've heard from that version (Cavern Teaser, Opening Credits, Introduction, Village, Map, Dark Castle,...) were great!
It's just that the Amiga has a very specific sound, and for the case of ITE, it was very good!

Well, it's just my opinion, but you should hear the Amiga version, maybe you'll see what I mean. ;)
