An update to The Labyrinth of Time for Windows is now available. You should only download and apply this update if you are having problems playing the game on an LCD monitor in full-screen mode. Symptoms of this problem are error messages such as "Input signal out of range" or obviously incorrect colors. This download is 154KB in size.
To download the update follow the steps below. (If you a familar with downloading software from the Internet, just click on the Start Download button at the bottom of the section.) Note: You can only apply the update to an already installed copy of The Labyrinth of Time.
Step 1: The update will fail if a copy of The Labyrinth of Time is running. Close the program before starting the download.
Step 2: When you click on the Start Download button below, your browser will begin to download the The Labyrinth of Time 1.0.1 Update software.
Step 3: If you are using Internet Explorer, you should be asked whether you want to run the software from its current location or save it to disk. If you prefer to save the update software to disk, follow the instructions in step 3. If you instead choose the first option, the update process should begin immeadiately after the software finishes downloading. Skip to step 4.
Step 4: If you are using Netscape Navigator or chose to save to disk in step 2, you will be presented with a dialog asking where to save the file labupd1.exe. Save it where you want to, but remember the location.
After the download is complete, find the labupd1.exe on your hard drive and double-click on its icon or name. This will start the update.
Step 5: During the update process you will be asked to confirm the location of your The Labyrinth of Time installation. You should only modify this information if the location shown is incorrect. The update can only be applied to an installed copy of The Labyrinth of Time.
Step 6: When the update is complete, you can continue your quest to thwart Minos!
Windows Update 1.0.1
A patch is available to update The Labyrinth of Time to fix reported problems when running on Snow Leopard (MacOS X 10.6) and Lion (10.7) systems.
To download and apply the patch please follow the steps below.
Step 1:
- If you purchased the game on CD, you must first install a copy of The Labyrinth of Time from the CD. Follow the instructions on the case insert to install the game.
- If you downloaded the trial version originally, you will need to have copied The Labyrinth of Time from the disk image before applying the patch.
Step 2: When you click on the Start Download button below, your browser will begin to download a compressed disk image containing The Labyrinth of Time Patcher software.
Step 3: Wait until the download is complete. If your web browser and system are properly configured, the disc image will be decompressed and automatically mounted. An icon named "The Labyrinth of Time Patcher" should appear on the Desktop.
If the "The Labyrinth of Time Patcher" icon doesn't appear, please read these additional instructions.
Step 4: Double-click the icon to open the disk image. Inside will be an application named "The Labyrinth of Time Patcher". Double-click this icon to launch the Patcher. Follow the software's instructions to complete the installation.
Step 5: Once the patch has been installed, you can safely eject the disk image and dispose of the "TheLabyrinthOfTimePatcher.dmg" file.
